TUITION TERMS

Please read our tuition terms and conditions carefully before booking.

Solway Driver Training provide driving lessons and towing courses throughout Cumbria.

If you have any questions about our Terms, please do not hesitate to contact us directly.

When booking a lesson or course you are aware that the course length is chosen by yourself. Whilst we can advise in General Terms as to how many hours driving lessons or trailer course pupils usually need we cannot predict the number of hours any individual might require. If ultimately the course length you choose is not suitable Solway Driver Training the company or its instructors, will not be liable for the loss of test fee should your instructor prevent you from taking the test at the end of your course for any reason they deem valid in the interest of public safety.
If you decide that extra tuition is needed on top of that which you have booked, we will try and accommodate this is subject the hourly rate of your course being charged in addition to the amount already paid, however we cannot guarantee the availability of your course instructor over and above the hours already scheduled.

Terms and conditions

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a driving lesson start will require full payment.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a trailer course start will require full payment.
Hours cancelled by pupil during the course – no refund
Any course terminated as a result of pupil not having correct licence, or any reason deemed in the interest of public safety by the instructor, for example – influence pf drugs / alcohol / medical conditions – no refunds.
If training is cancelled or halted as a result of mechanical failure (CAR or TRAILER) we will book you another session asap and include a minimum of 2 hours free training. We will not be liable for any additional costs that you incur.
Learner drivers must be aged 17 or older.
All students must hold a driving licence that is valid for the UK (provisional, full or an appropriate foreign licence)
If Denis thinks that a learner driver is not suitable or ready to take a driving test, neither Denis nor the car wil be made available for the test.

Cancellations and refunds

It is your responsibility to ensure that you bring with you your driving licence. Without your driving licence training will not go ahead and you will be forfeit all sums paid for the training and test fees.

Confimation and required info

Unless payment has been received 5 clear days prior to your course the training will not go ahead. The only exception to this is prior arrangement agreed with us.
